Education Equivalent Verification

Undergraduate programs

Applicant for undergraduate program are require to
1. submit transcript and certificate of high school education or its equivalent to Office of Registration and Evaluation
2. provide contact information of education institution for verification

Without verification of high school completion, student may not graduate. The process may take up to a year depends on the documents and previous institution.

UK System

For the obtained score from 2021 onward

Applicant must obtain GCE ‘A’ Level on at least 3 subjects with grades A*-E or Cambridge Pre-U at least 3 subjects with grade M1 or D1-D3

 

For the obtained score prior to 2021

Applicant must obtain IGCSE or GCSE or GCE ‘O’ Level on 5 subjects with grade A* – C and obtained one criteria of the followings

1) GCE ‘AS’ Level on 5 subjects with grades A-E or

2) GCE ‘A’ Level on 3 subjects with grade A*-E

 

For the obtained score prior to 2018

IGCSE or GCSE or GCE ‘O’ Level on at least 5 subjects (exclusively) with grade of each subject at least C and obtained one criteria of the followings

  1. Minimum of 3 subjects on GCE ‘AS’ level with grades at least C or
  2. Minimum of 3 subjects GCE ‘A’ Level with grade at least C

Combination of at least 3 subjects in GCE ‘AS’ level and GCE ‘A’ level can be counted toward qualification. Subjects in GCE ‘AS’ level must be difference from subjects in GCE ‘A’ level. Subjects in GCE ‘A’ level and GCE ‘AS’ level can be the same with subjects in other level.

 

For the obtained score prior to 2017

Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) is the former education system. Grade 1 which is the highest level is equivalent to General Certificate of Education in Ordinary level (GCE ‘O’ level) with grade at least A – C

  1. Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) with grade 1 can be included to other equivalent certificate to fulfill high school education qualification as follows:
    • GCE ‘O’ level, GCSE, IGCSE with grade at least A, B, or C on each of 5 subjects
    • GCE ‘A’ level with grade at least A – E on each of 5 subjects
    • GCE ‘AS’ level with grade at least A – E on each subject.

Two subjects of GCE ‘AS’ level equate to one subject of GCE ‘A’ level. Subjects in GCE ‘AS’ level must be difference from subjects in GCE ‘A’ level. Subjects in GCE ‘A’ level and GCE ‘AS’ level can be the same with subjects in other level. Hence, at least 5 subjects in CSE with grade 1 and GCE ‘AS’ level should be based on mentioned criteria.

American/Canada System |GED

For obtained score from May 2017 onward, minimum of 145 points on each of 4 GED subjects.

For obtained score prior to May 2017, minimum of 2,250 points on 5 GED subjects and minimum of 410 points on each subject.

New Zealand System

  1. For applicant completed high school from 2010 onward,

Applicant must pass minimum of 80 credits of New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) which is under New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA). It includes

  • Minimum of 60 credits of subjects in level 2 or higher and
  • Minimum of 20 credits of subjects in level 1 or higher

English for Speaker of other Languages (ESOL) is counted as a subject.

Graduate must receive NCEA Level 2 Diploma, Record of Achievement, certificate of level, number of subjects, and credit hours of each subject issued by New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA).

  1. For applicant completed high school from 2009 onward,

Applicant must pass minimum total of 60 credits of at least 5 subjects (exclusively) in level 2 or higher of New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) which is under New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA). The compulsory subjects are

  • Minimum of 4 credits of English (Literacy) in level 2 or higher
  • Minimum of 4 credits of Mathematics (numeracy) in level 2 or higher

English for Speaker of other Languages (ESOL) cannot be counted toward qualification.

Graduate must receive Record of Achievement and certificate of level, number of subjects, and credit hours of each subject issued by New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA).

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Applicants must obtain High School Diploma and/or IB Diploma and/or IB DP Course Results as follows

  • Applicant from oversea must obtain IB Diploma that is obtain minimum of 24 points from a total of 5 subject groups and 1 elective subject along with passing Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and Creativity, Action & Service (CAS) according to standard of International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO). Higher education institution may exempt some subjects in year 1 for applicant that pass such subjects with higher level and point above 4-5 in IB Diploma curriculum or
  • Obtained IB Diploma Course Results (IBCR) of minimum of 5 subjects (exclusively) with grade at least grade 2 (equivalent to 60 per cent or GPA on at least 2 subjects) on each subject. Higher education institution may revise the number of subjects to 3-4 subjects according to the selected undergraduate program.

Graduate program

Applicant for master degree are required to
1. submit degree certificate and transcript at Ministry of Higher education, Science, Research and Innovation in Thailand to verify education qualification of bachelor degree from previous institution
2. submit transcript and certificate  to Office of Registration and Evaluation at Kasem Bundit University
3. provide contact information of education institution for verification
